Learn More About CCI
Our Media Broadcasting division is comprised of a radio program called Caribbeana that is aired on WPFW 89.3 FM radio airwaves. Radio is Caribbeana’s primary means of delivering its 3 E philosophy. The radio division encompasses live on-air production as well as internet podcasting and pre-recorded or live streaming.
However, over the next 10 year period (2009-2019), CCI plans to develop its first home based radio studio in Lanham, MD.

CRS is a weekly radio program hosted by Von Martin and aired every Saturday from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. EST on WPFW-89.3 FM. WPFW is a terrestrial radio station that went on air in 1977 as the fifth station within Pacifica, a network of U.S.-based progressive radio stations that have given an alternative voice to its programmers.
Caribbeana is proud to have been one of the first programs aired on WPFW during its inception of the radio station in Washington, DC. Over the years the program has grown to having a listenership of 100,000 individuals throughout the Washington/Baltimore area.
CRS also provides news stories and documentaries capturing historians, present day Caribbean artists, Caribbean business leaders and political figures as well as many other treasures and diverse facets of the Caribbean.
Our goal for CRS is to evolve into a 24 hours 7 days-a week radio production. Over the next ten years, CCI will seek to develop a full-fledged radio station based in the DC Metropolitan area and focused on Caribbean culture and it’s Diaspora.
Caribbeana provides music of the Caribbean not limited to reggae and dancehall known to mainstream. The Caribbean has a diverse grouping of musical genres, which are syntheses of African, European, Indian and various Caribbean influences. Caribbeana’s programming is filled with up-to- date news broadcasts, Caribbean music genres such as Calypso, Soca, Reggae, Caribbean jazz, steel pan, to name a few.

Caribbeana Communications Inc.’s studio serves as the primary place of producing, editing and developing Caribbeana radio productions for live on-air or pre-recorded broadcasts. Training and educating individuals about CCI’s mission associated with journalism and radio developed is also conducted at CR Studio 77..
Caribbean Television via YouTube.com
CCI continues to elevate and improve on its television programming, currently done through YouTube.com and called, Caribbean Television (CTV), as another avenue for exposing Caribbean culture and its people to the rest of the world. CTV will be an innovative programming primarily focused on the Caribbean culture and its Diaspora throughout the world. It will offer a broad range of lifestyle and entertainment-oriented programming that pays homage to Caribbean values and offers the reflections of its intellectual and cultural diversity.
With an engaging mix of original and acquired programming from key entertainment genres, CTV programming aims to provide a sophisticated alternative for youth and adult viewers.
